The shows fit around Finneas' Laneway Festival appearances.
Beloved indie-pop artist Finneas has announced two intimate shows in Melbourne and Sydney to round out his Australian dates in 2023.
While in the country as part of the mega Laneway Festival line-up, the Kids Are All Dying singer will hit Sydney's Metro Theatre on Wednesday, 1 February, and Melbourne's The Forum on Tuesday, 7 February.
Following a massive 2022 conquering worldwide audiences with his sister Billie Eilish on her Happier Than Ever world tour, Finneas now proves to fans why Variety has written that "his solo aesthetic is an adventurous and catchy one".
Finneas released his debut album, Optimist, in October 2021. The album earned him a Best New Artist nomination at the Grammys, taking his nominations up to 14.
With Eilish, he has won Producer Of The Year - Non-Classical category for her debut record, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, as well as wins in Record Of The Year twice in a row, Album Of The Year, Song Of The Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Engineered Album - Non-Classical category. Their James Bond theme tune, No Time To Die, earned the siblings an Academy Award, a Golden Globe, and another Grammy.
To celebrate the first anniversary of Optimist, Finneas added four brand-new versions – the triple j playlisted The Kids Are All Dying, Only A Lifetime, Love Is Pain, plus a cover of The Beatles' The Fool On The Hill, new recordings captured live at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London to the original 13-track album.
