End of an era.
The eighth and final radio ratings are in for 2016 and it also marks the final time that outgoing triple j breakfast hosts, Matt & Alex, feature in the survey before Adelaide duo Ben Harvey and Liam Stapleton take over next year.
So just how did Matt & Alex fare in the final survey for 2016?

While Matt & Alex enjoyed a slight share increase of 0.5 from the last survey, triple j's weekday share got a nice boost of 1.5, thanks to healthy increases across the board.

As well as breakfast, there are some notable spikes in the afternoon slot (an increase of 2.1), weekends (an increase of 1.8) and drive (an increase of 1.4).
KIIS 1065 heavyweights Kyle & Jackie O finished the year on top in the FM breakfast battle with a share of 10.5, while all eyes will be on 2DayFM, as Rove & Sam fell by 0.4 points to round out the year on a disappointing share of 3.8.
It is rumoured that tough decisions will have to be made for 2017, amid speculation that Rove is returning to late night TV.
There has been very little movement across the board for triple j in the last survey for 2016, with Matt & Alex maintaining a share of 4.0 for the breakfast slot.
After dominating the breakfast market for some time, Triple M's Hot Breakfast has been dethroned, after dropping by 1.9 points to claim a share of 8.0.
FoxFM have taken over the #1 position for breakfast with a share of 9.4, while the station also dominated drive, thanks to Hamish & Andy posting an impressive share of 14.8.
Triple j's tough streak in Brisbane has continued into the final survey for 2016, with its weekday share dropping by 0.3 points.
While Matt & Alex lost 0.2 points from the previous outing, there were also hits in the morning and afternoon slots (both down by 0.6 points) and drive (down by 0.5 points) though the evening slot had a nice boost of 0.9 points.
Elsewhere, 97.3FM took out the FM breakfast war for 2016, toppling Nova 106.9's 12.6 with a 13.1 share.
Matt & Alex increased their market share ever so slightly in Adelaide, climbing up 0.2 points to claim a 5.9 share, despite the youth broadcaster dropping its overall weekday share.
Hamish & Andy again won the drive slot, taking in a share of 13.2 over Kate, Tim & Marty on Nova 91.9 who finished in second with an 11.9 share.
Triple j took its biggest beating on the final 2016 survey in Perth, with nasty drops in all categories.
Matt & Alex took their biggest hit, albeit not the most disastrous, with a drop of 0.5 points to clinch a share of 8.7, while the network's worst outing came in the evening slot, down 2.1 points.
Despite losing 1.8 points Mix 94.5's Lisa & Pete have held on to the drive crown with a share of 16.6, easily ahead of second placed Kate, Tim & Marty on Nova 93.7 with a share of 13.7.
