These Famous Fictional Tunes Are All Coming True This Week

To quote 'Almost Famous': It's All Happening!

From Spinal Tap to The Be Sharps, fictional bands have been a pillar of film and TV for years. Fortunately, this week sees a number of those fabricated hitmakers jump off the screen and into your hands, where you can hear the songs in full and even grab a copy in the flesh to keep forever.

Fans of the hit Amazon Prime series The Boys will be well aware of the power of Vought International over their superhero employees. The most dastardly thing they have done so far, however, may be making the character of Starlight sing this Celine Dion-esque ode to her fallen brethren. Check out the vid of Erin Moriarty’s character belting out Never Truly Vanish:

The soundtrack to 2010’s Scott Pilgrim Vs The World is often touted as one of the best of the 21st century. However, the official original release of the soundtrack never featured the iconic performance of Brie Larson covering Metric’s Black Sheep. Now, the Larson-fronted Clash At Demonhead are getting their dues with the extended re-release of the soundtrack, set to hit streaming services this Friday.


Almost Famous is probably the pivotal movie for music fans the world over. And while the classic Tiny Dancer scene is likely the best musical moment in the film filled with musical moments, it’s hard to go past the subjects of the film itself, Stillwater. The old school ‘70s rockers featuring Led Zeppelin alum Jason Bonham on drums are finally hitting shelves for Record Store Day 2021 with the Stillwater Demos EP (albeit through the original songwriters Peter Frampton and Nancy Wilson of Heart).
