Sydney community radio station FBi Radio has re-opened their presenter training applications.

If you've ever dreamt of being on radio or being a radio host, FBi provides the perfect platform for any budding music lover to get more involved in Sydney's local creative community.

FBi Radio is an independent youth broadcaster with Sydney music, arts and culture being their speciality. They've been on air since 2003 and play 50% Australian music with half of that from Sydney. The FBi alumni list is long with some of the best radio presenters, passionate music lovers and DJs and acts as the perfect home for any beginner looking to get into the music industry.

Once all of the applications are in group auditions will be held at FBi Radio. The training course will run through December - January with sessions being held on weekends and weeknights outside of business hours over 4 weeks. In those sessions you'll get a crash course in media law, writing for radio, paneling and more.

Following the training course applicants will need to commit to a minimum of 6 months presenting one Allnighter program per fortnight. Training is run a couple of times a year, so the radio station states that if now is a bad time to commit to the 6 month program there's no stress, with multiple opportunities every year to get your foot in the door.
