Newcastle-based festival Fat As Butter has revealed that it will not be going ahead for 2014.
In what is turning out to be a shitty day for festival-lovers, the beloved grassroots event took to Facebook to alert punters to the decision, which it said was influenced by line-up struggles and marks the first year since 2008 that Fat As Butter will not be partying down on the Foreshore.
However, the organisers did say that the event would "definitely" be back in 2015, and cryptically teased that they may just have something else up their sleeve to fill the gap left by FAB's cancellation.

Last year's festival sported the likes of Bliss N Eso, Cosmo Jarvis, Owl Eyes, Booka Shade, Matt Corby, Peking Duk, Bluejuice, Gym Class Heroes, Boy & Bear, The Holidays, and several others.
Famously, the event was involved in a legal stoush with US rapper Flo Rida last year over his 2011 no-show; he later managed to avoid paying the festival nearly half-a-million dollars in compensation.
