Fans Help Nelly Pay Off Tax Debt By Incessantly Streaming 'Hot In Herre'

Bless your little hearts

More Nelly Nelly

Ain't nobody got fans as thoughtful as Nelly. The rapper, who will be headlining the highly-anticipated RNB Fridays mini-festival later this year, reportedly has over USD$2.5 million of tax debt to pay off and his dedicated fanbase have found an ingenious (albeit, far-fetched) way to help him pay it off.

Stream Hot In Herre over and over again on Spotify, of course.

As Spin reports, Nelly has a federal tax lien equating to $2,412,283 as well as debts of $149,511 to the Missouri Department Of Revenue. They figured out, though, that roughly 402,880,500 streams (at the very least, if Nelly earns the bare minimum of $0.006 per stream from Spotify) will help him pay off the whopping amount.

Naturally, his fans have gotten to work to #SaveNelly and have been doing their part by playing Hot In Herre as many times as humanly possible — on repeat, on mute, you name it.

Are we the only ones who thinks this is heartwarming?
