Pencil this in for next year.

They're considered as two of Australia's most popular comedians and now Luke McGregor and Celia Pacquola are teaming up for a brand new TV comedy series to screen on ABC in 2016.

The eight-part show entitled Rosehaven is to be shot entirely in McGregor's home state of Tasmania next year and tells the story of Daniel (played by McGregor) who returns home to his hometown to take over his family's troubled real estate business, where he is joined by his best friend, Emma (played by Pacquola).

ABC Director Of Television Richard Finlayson said the network is thrilled to be creating a new comedy series based entirely in rural Tasmania.

"Our audiences have told us they want more regional content, and this series reinforces ABC TV’s commitment to be the home of Australian stories and conversations," Finlayson said.

Rosehaven will screen on Aussie screen in the second half of 2016.

It won't be the only ABC project that McGregor is featured in next year however, as he is set to feature in a new show that talks all things sex, called Luke Warm Sex.

The new comedy format of the ABC Comedy Showroom will also air next year, which will feature six new pilots for six different shows from a number of comedians including Eddie Perfect, Ronny Chieng, Lawrence Mooney, Kate McCartney and Kate McLennan. Audiences will get to vote on the episodes they would like to see as a full series based on the single pilot episodes.

New seasons have also been confirmed for comedy show favourites Black Comedy, Upper Middle Bogan, Shaun Micallef's Mad As Hell, The Weekly With Charlie Pickering and Julie Zemiro's Home Delivery.
