Fall Out BoyLong-dormant emo-pop-punk outfit Fall Out Boy have announced details of a new album today, with the confidently-titled Save Rock And Roll to be released Friday 3 May locally.
Along with today's announcement that band have dropped their new single My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light Em Up) which is now at iTunes.
The record will be their first since 2008's Folie à Deux given the band went on hiatus to focus on side projects following that record's touring cycle.
The band – made up of Patrick Stump, Pete Wentz, Joe Trohman and Andy Hurley – shot to international fame with their album Infinity On High in 2007, after cult hits Take This To Your Grave and From Under The Cork Tree.
Given the way release dates play out around the world, the Australian release will be a few days before the rest of the world.
We'll also get some of the first album launch dates, with, according to their website, relatively intimate shows taking palce in Sydney and Melbourne:
Monday 25 February – Metro Theatre, Sydney
Wednesday 27 February – Palace Theatre, Sydney
