“To play at anything less than 100% after so long is not an option for us."
Faith No More have cancelled their 2022 Australian tour.
After being forced to reschedule the run of shows twice, the much-loved US rock group have today announced the cancellation of the tour.
“Unfortunately, due to our current challenges, we aren’t going to be ready to perform for the upcoming Australian, New Zealand and European tours,” the band said.
“To play at anything less than 100% after so long is not an option for us. We apologise to all of you ticket holders, and are forever grateful to our fans for your support and understanding.”
Faith No More were last in Australia in 2015 for a run of festival dates but haven’t played their own headline tour here since 1997.
Speaking to The Music when the tour was first announced last year, bass player Billy Gould said that the band were excited to be returning to Australia.

“And considering how many memories I have of touring Australia, it’s really odd to think about it like that.”
