Melbourne music industry conference Face The Music is offering delegates a unique opportunity to pitch directly to triple j staffers at this year's event.
Face The Music will be offering a session that closely explores the role played by the national broadcaster in the local industry — "from an artist's first upload to Unearthed through to play across the Unearthed, triple j, Double J and local radio networks".
The session will feature key decision-makers from the networks: Dave Ruby Howe (Unearthed), Nicole Cheek (triple j), Dorothy Markek (Double J) and Jacinta Parsons (ABC local radio).
Following this session delegates have the chance to grab the "undivided attention of the triple j team" in the Listening Lounge. Panellists will offer up to 20 artists, and their management, the chance for one-on-one time with them — artists can pitch their music and pick their brains for valuable how-to-make it information.
Also announced today is a production session presented by Yamaha and Sternberg. The Evolution Of Digital Music Production panel will feature M-Phazes (Eminem, Illy), Yeo (Hermitage) and Dub FX.
Applications for the workshops are via the FTM website and close October 28.
Face The Music takes place on Friday 13 November and Saturday 14 November.
