The winners for this year's ART Music Awards have been announced, with composer Brett Dean, jazz pianist Marc Hannaford and Adelaide's Soundstream taking home awards.
Recognising jazz, experimental and contemporary 'art' music, 11 national categories and seven state categories were awarded in Sydney tonight.
As part of the ceremony George Dreyfus AM was awarded the Distinguished Services To Australian Music honour, with the 85-year-old the subject of a music tribute from his son Jonathan Dreyfus and the night's host James Morrison.
