Expect To See Some 2017 BIGSOUND Names On 'The Project' Next Week

BIGSOUND is coming to your TV.

With BIGSOUND set to kick off next week, both those who will and won't be heading to Brisbane are set to get an exclusive insight into the conference thanks to a few big names appearing on Channel Ten's The Project next week.

Scheduled to air next Wednesday night, 2017 act Baker Boy will sit down with Waleed Aly to talk about BIGSOUND, as well as his incredible journey in the music industry thus far.

"Man. I was blown away, fully hyped to be speaking to [Aly]," the Darwin-born rapper told The Music.

"I never thought this would happen. We had a great vibe, I was told he was on a tight schedule, had to get things done in 30 minutes, but he stayed for over an hour and I showed him some dance moves.

"He asked me about my spin-kicks, but he couldn’t do one of those. Hopefully they’ll play that on the TV as it was pretty funny."

Most recently, Baker Boy was awarded the 2017 Unearthed NIMA prize

Also confirmed to appearing on next week's segment include BIGSOUND programmer, Maggie Collins (below), and triple j Unearthed music director, Dave Ruby Howe.
