Melbourne indie electro artist snapped up

More Fractures More Fractures

Melbourne indie electro multi-instrumentalist Fractures has signed with Village Sounds for bookings, despite having only played one live show.

Spurred on by a growing online audience, Fractures – real name Mark Zito – sold out his very first live performance late last month at Melbourne's The Workers Club.

Today theMusic.com.au can reveal that the one show has convinced Village Sounds – home of Birds Of Tokyo, Vance Joy, Courtney Barnett, Violent Soho and others – to take him onto their books.

“We are thrilled to be representing Fractures' live touring,” says Village Sounds' Andy Gumley. “Mark is one of the most exciting new artists we have come across this year and there is no doubt he has a big future ahead of him.”

Fractures grew to notoriety on the back on track Twisted, which has amassed over 200,000 plays to date, and has since released second single Cadence, which has over 100,000 plays.

His planned live debut was pushed back from June after the first date was cancelled due to a serious fall. It left Zito with a fractured neck and in a brace for three months.

Last week he announced two more live shows in Sydney and Melbourne. Dates below.

Fractures is managed by Anthony Zaccaria at Bolster Music, who also has Loon Lake and producer/songwriter Jean-Paul Fung on its books.
