Get to know the emergent world-beaters with the Aussie premiere of new sing 'Who Returned'
London-bred four-piece Arthur Beatrice are about to make themselves known to Australian audiences in a big way and broaden their antipodean horizons with the announcement that they have freshly signed a deal with local label services house Caroline Australia (part of Universal).
The deal comes concurrent with the unveiling of their killer new single and video, Who Returned, for which The Music is stoked to be holding the Aussie premiere today. The pulsing, ethereal cut evokes the atmospheric electro-instrumentation of acts such as The Album Leaf and Near The Parenthesis, while vocalist Ella Girardot sonically twists and turns and weaves her way above and amongst the layered, lush soundscape. Things kick up another notch about the halfway mark, as tight crescendo gives way to lilting strings (courtesy the London Contemporary Orchestra), Euro-dramatic echo and ever-present synth. It's an infectious piece of work, and we recommend giving it a whirl as soon as you can, which should be right about... now.
Caroline Australia Label Manager A&R George Dalziel vocally welcomed the group to the company's fold, telling The Music: "As huge Arthur Beatrice fans, we couldn't be more excited to be their local release partner; they're an exceptionally talented and emotive band."

Arthur Beatrice came together in 2010, self-releasing first single Midland in 2012 through their own label, Open Assembly, as well as debut EP Carter in 2013, breaking through with lauded first full-length Working Out last year. Who Returned marks the first taste of what's next for the ascendant English act and, considering how far they've brought themselves already, the road ahead will undoubtedly be even more exciting with Caroline in their corner.
