Publication to cease bi-monthly production
The ABC have confirmed today that their bi-monthy triple j magazine will revert to an annual format after it was dumped by publisher News Custom Publishing.
Last night theMusic.com.au broke the news that News' centralisation of its publishing business to Sydney meant that the magazine had been dropped from their roster, resulting in the redundancy of the magazine's staff.
A spokesperson from triple j told theMusic.com.au this morning, “News Custom are closing the Melbourne office where triple j magazine is currently produced. This gave us a chance to look at what we're doing with the magazine, and we've decided to focus on the Annual edition, rather than a bi-monthly magazine.
“We're always evolving ways we reach our audience and we're really excited about our next Annual hitting the shelves.”
