EXCLUSIVE: Stream Texas Tea's Sad Summer Hits

The third record is worth the wait.

It has been a long wait for fans of the band, but the brand new LP from Brisbane country duo Texas Tea is finally out this Friday. Sad Summer Hits was recorded with Magoo at his Applewood Lane studios earlier this year and it sees the band working with a drummer and bassist for the first time. These two factors have meant the record is fuller and slicker than ever before, but the real charm comes with the fact that the duo seem more comfortable that ever before playing off each others' strengths.

While the band are still, for all intents and purposes, classified as a country act, there is a wonderful adoption of classic pop of yesteryear in these songs as well, which allows the band to run something of a full emotional gamut in this collection of songs. The album is out Friday but you can stream it on theMusic.com.au all week.
