"Within the next month we’ll have, like, a new taster from the record and see what people think."
Doing the rounds recently in support of his newest single For Good featuring Sampa The Great, emcee Remi has opened up further about his upcoming album, Divas And Demons, and its collaborators, release date and new material.
Speaking to The Music, Remi says of the follow-up to his Australian Music Prize-winning debut Raw x Infinity, "I can’t wait to show everybody, it’s very different.
"It’s a lot more musical than the last one just because we got some more instrumentalists on this one. We’ve got a couple of guys coming in playing keys: Simon Mavin from Haitus Kaiyote and Silent Jay actually came and played keys on a few of the joints as well. And we got, like, some awesome features on there like we’ve got Sampa, as you know, and Baro."
Due out on he and collaborator Sensible J's own label, House Of Beige, Remi even shares a tentative release date for the highly-anticipated record.

"We’re aiming for September 2nd," Remi reveals. "That is the tentative date. We might try and do it a bit earlier than that, but that’s the vibe at the moment. But we’re gonna have some new music before then, definitely.
"We spent more time because we’ve got more elements to it; it’s kind of a bit more personal and, yeah! It tells a whole bunch of little stories so I guess we’re gonna try and just, like, have a few songs that’ll come out – I wouldn’t call them singles, because we don’t really [laughs] write singles; we just release songs that we think people need to hear first and that’s about it. So within the next month we’ll have, like, a new taster from the record and see what people think."
