"You gotta go, motherfucker."
In town to celebrate the 15th anniversary of their iconic record, Elva, Californian punk act Unwritten Law's Melbourne show was interrupted this week by a violent punter who allegedly punched a female fan in the pit.
As noted by The Music's reviewer Madison Thomas, "a guy [punched] a female punter" during the band's song Lonesome on Sunday night at the Corner Hotel, towards the end of the set.
Russo reportedly tells the punter, "You gotta go, motherfucker," with security kicking the man out while "the crowd does their best to drown him in beer on his way out".
When contacted by The Music, Corner Hotel told us exclusively that they were pleased with the way security and the band dealt with the situation.

"The Corner is dedicated to being a safe space for everyone who comes through our doors. We don’t tolerate antisocial behaviour in the venue and incidents like this make it clear that bands & punters are on the same page."
Unwritten Law have been in the country since 1 December, playing nine shows around the country. The band have one more left in Perth tomorrow night.
