Meet Joseph Paul
Former Ground Components frontman Joe McGuigan has a new project – Joseph Paul. It's different.
The Melbourne garage outfit were one of the city's best products during their time but have been on indefinite hiatus for years. McGuigan is ready to unleash the new project which sees him employ electronic beats and synthesiser and embrace his apparent penchant for ska patterns.
Debut track Shaftsbury Parade, which you can stream below, indicated that the strong lyrical content have carried through to this newfound party vibe.
This stream has now finished.
The band consists of Nelly Jackson (The Gingers and Loose Tooth) and Eamon Stewart (Shoot The Sun) and they'll be launching themselves at The Tote Saturday 19 January, with support from ex-Little Red outfit The Hondas.
