CrepesMelbourne garage-pop outfit Crepes have doubled down with some massive news this week, today confirming they've signed to Spunk Records, as well as announcing their debut album, Channel Four.
The first track from the forthcoming LP, Sexyland, dropped just a few weeks ago and received high rotation, so fans will no doubt be thrilled to hear that the album is due out on 20 October, while a vinyl release will also be issued via Deaf Ambitions.
"Channel Four depicts the highs, lows and dreams of a young person kicking it 'round Melbourne town," Crepes singer Tim Karmouche, said.
"Making it was a huge learning process for the band, and we’re looking forward to finally sharing it!"
Karmouche added that the five-piece band are "super stoked" to be joining the Spunk Records team.
"We're honoured to be part of such a talented roster, and to be working with a great team."
Spunk Records founder Aaron Curnow said of the signing, "Crepes have a beautiful warmth to their music.
"While they sound Australian to me, they aren't making music that a lot of Australian bands are making right now. Its feel good and heart-felt at the same time!"
Crepes join a roster that already includes the likes of Arcade Fire, Jason Isbell, Aldous Harding, Mac Demarco and Antony & The Johnsons.
