Catherine Britt ProfileWhile in Brisbane for the BIGSOUND music industry conference and showcase series, Australian country singer Catherine Britt was good enough to stop by The Bank Bar in Fortitude Valley to play us a couple of songs from her sensational 2012 record Always Never Enough.
This afternoon we give you the final product of these sessions,with her song Charlestown Road and the fully mastered version of her rendition of Sally Bones that we thought was so good we rushed out as soon as it was recorded.
Britt has been quite busy on the road all year but doesn't have too many commitments over the Australian summer, choosing just to play a couple of massive shows, all of which see her in some damn good company.
Queenslanders can catch her playing the massive A Day On The Green show that hits Sirromet Winery on Sunday 18 November. Britt is part of a massive bill that also features Kasey Chambers & Shane Nicholson, John Williamson, Troy Cassar-Daley and Felicity Urquhart.
On Thursday 24 January Britt hits Tamworth for a big show at The Pub; her fourth consecutive year of running a great night of country music fun, The Hillbilly Sessions. To give you a bit of an idea as to the standard of talent that these shows attract, the past few years have seen Britt joined by Troy Cassar-Daley, Beccy Cole, Shane Nicholson, Lee Kernaghan, James Blundell, Jerry Salley, Bill Chambers, Sara Storer and Kasey Chambers just to name a few. Who knows who'll appear in 2013!
As if these shows weren't big enough, Britt then plays the enormous CMC Rocks The Hunter show, with an absolutely stunning line up of acts, from Friday 15 March - Sunday 17.
