EXCLUSIVE: Adelaide Rapper Tkay Maidza Signs With Select

Emerging Adelaide hip hop artist Tkay Maidza has signed a booking deal with Select Music's Rob Giovannoni for bookings.

With her latest track Brontosaurus – featuring Adelaide producer Bad Cop – serviced to radio last week and receiving the triple j tick of approval, theMusic.com.au can also reveal that she has also landed the support slot for Disclosure's Adelaide date in early October.

Maidza has been gathering momentum in recent months, having signed with 5/4 Enterainment's Craig Lock for management and has already collaborated with the likes of DCup.

Today Giovannoni told theMusic.com.au, “Select Music are very excited to be involved with the live bookings of Tkay Maidza. She is an absolute talent and has a very big future ahead of her.”

Lock added, “We have been working with Tkay for several months now and I'm constantly being blown away by what she can do, not only as a rapper but as a singer and songwriter as well. We are also really excited to have Select Music on board to help us get her live show out there as we look to release an EP later this year.”

Maidza admitted today, “Last year I would have never expected to be where I am today.”
