AdalitaWe're super excited about the new Adalita album and we reckon you ought to be as well. If you need any more inspiration to get your blood pumping about the prospect of an entire new record from one of our most beloved dark, grungey songwriters, then perhaps we can help by giving you a snippet of what to expect with Blue Sky.
The song is taken from her new LP All Day Venus, which is out on Friday 20 September, and it's a “big indie blast”, as she calls it herself.

Speaking of the song, Adalita says she's pretty proud of the way it ended up turning out.
“Blue Sky was one of the last songs I wrote for the album and it popped out pretty fast. My demo version was quite cutesy and I wasn't too sure about it but when I jammed it out with Lee Parker (Spite House, Eastlink, Teargas) he helped to nudge it into the big indie blast that it wanted to be.
“I think it's one of the most accessible and immediate songs on the record. And it so happens that it's the only track that was mixed by the fabulous Victor Van Vugt, who has worked with artists like PJ Harvey.”
Adalita is on the road soon in support of the LP, with a whole band in tow. Dates are in theGuide below.
