Evan Dando and Juliana Hatfield To Tour Australia Together

The two old friends will play side-by-side for these very special shows.

We knew something was up last week when our friends at Handsome Tours asked the following question:

This morning we have our answer, as it is announced that long time friends and musical collaborators Evan Dando and Juliana Hatfield will tour Australia this December, performing an entire set side by side. The duo will deliver acoustic versions of their expansive back catalogues, including The Lemonheads, Blake Babies, their own solo material and some covers.

In 1986, a then-19 year old Juliana first introduced herself to Evan in a Boston pizza shop, having watched The Lemonheads perform the evening prior, and since then went on to form a close friendship and musical bond that has lasted over 25 years. As if they need any introduction, Dando's Lemonheads have released ten studio albums, including the 1992 classic It's A Shame About Ray, on which Hatfield played bass. One thing you may not know is that Dando returned the favour, helping out on bass for a short period during Hatfield's time with The Blake Babies.
