The NRL's State Of Origin match made its Perth debut last night, with local act Eskimo Joe appearing as the pre-match entertainment.
The group, who hail from Fremantle, performed their 2006 track Black Fingernails, Red Wine (from the album of the same name) from the Optus Stadium grandstand in an appearance that has divided viewers.
According to TV Tonight, the pre-match program drew in a whopping 1,169,000 viewers, with a total of 1,960,000 tuning in for the main event.

Eskimo Joe performed the album in full at an event in their hometown last month and are teaming up with the West Australian Symphony Orchestra (WASO) for a special show later this year.
