Authorities confirmed the producer's death today.
Famous DJ Erick Morillo is confirmed to have passed away at the age of 49.
As Miami Herald reports, the New York-born producer was found dead inside his Miami home on Tuesday morning by local police. A cause of death is yet to be confirmed.
The multiple DJ Awards winner is perhaps best known for his 1993 hit track, I Like To Move It - released under Reel 2 Real solo project - which topped dance charts around the world and received another wave of attention when it was consistently used throughout DreamWorks' Madagascar franchise in the mid '00s.
The news comes just weeks after the house and electro DJ was charged with sexually battering a woman in Miami Beach.
Though he who was out on bond, Morillo was scheduled to appear at a virtual arraignment later this week.
