Enmore Road Voted Sydney's Coolest Street

Pubs, eateries and the country's best live music venue.

Time Out's annual survey of the best of city life has crowned Enmore Road the coolest street in so called Sydney for 2022.

Enmore Road is an iconic strip that features some of the city's best bars, live music venues, eateries and late night dance spots.

It's nestled perfectly between Sydney's now nighttime capital Newtown, which has changed significantly after the COVID-era, drawing a younger crowd and known for its extremely popular pubs. Where Newtown feels like its lost its soul, Enmore Road is still hanging on by a thread. It also feeds out to Marrickville, the undisputed best zone for engaging in late night activities in the Inner West, buzzing with some of the most cult adored restaurants including Babas Place and Pizza Madre, watering holes including The Marrickville Hotel, The Bowlo, Philter Brewing, Grifter Brewing, Poor Toms and more.

While we'd head towards Marrickville, Enmore Road still boasts a proud list of iconic spots, both for the day time and nighttime. It hosts the arguably best live music venue in the country, The Enmore Theatre as well as a range of gorgeous bars including Martini hub Bar Planet, cocktail house Jacobys, bottle-o P&V, pubs The Duke Of Enmore and The Enmore Hotel, as well as food spots including Little Lagos, Cairo Takeaway and Turkish gelato ice-cream spot Hakiki.

What would you call the coolest street in Sydney?
