An important event

A celebration of traditional Indigenous culture, Around The Campfire has named the talent for the 2017 event.

The annual event will go down at Waterside Workers Hall on Sunday, February 12, with actor Natasha Wanganeen as Master of Ceremonies, prior to her appearance at Adelaide Festival production, The Secret River, and performances from Electric Fields and Scott Darlow.

Wanganeen will lead numerous conversations, one with Ray Martin on reconciliation and Indigenous Australian health.

Funds raised will help the development and operation of a new health promotion program across Australia, focusing on healthy food and cooking education and culminating in a competition for Aboriginal communities, which will see native Australian produce, come into play.
