The singer is gearing up to release the first half of her new music collection
Sydney songstress, songwriter, pianist and accordion player Elana Stone is releasing the first half of her third studio album Kintsugi Part 1 later this month and will celebrate with a national tour.
The album was produced by Jack Britten and was recorded by Pete Covington in Brookvale, Sydney at Jim Mogine's (Midnight Oil) studio. Kintsugi derives from the Japanese word meaning 'golden joinery' — the ancient art of fixing broken pottery and glorifying the cracks.
Stone's shape-shifting genre has seen her collaborate with the likes of Passenger, Washington, Donny Benet, Urthboy, Hermitude, Tripod and Josh Pyke. She has spent the past two years with four piece lady folk band All Our Exes Live In Texas.
Her tour begins at the Shadow Electric in Melbourne on 23 Apr, before traveling to Brisbane on 1 May, Bellingen on 2 May and rounding up at Newtown Social Club in Sydney on 3 May.
