El Camino Cantina Unveils 'The 27 Club' Series

Sydney Tex-Mex restaurant El Camino Cantina have announced The 27 Club series to honour the 54 rock'n'roll legends that left the world at the age of 27, going on to influence generations of musicians and music-lovers since.

Kicking off tonight and on the 27th of every month thereafter, the events will showcase the songs of everyone from Jimi Hendrix to Janis Joplin to Kurt Cobain for the rest of the year.

The 27 Club series will also offer guitar lessons, a live tribute band show and happy hour specials, with tonight's event honouring The Doors' Jim Morrison.

In July the event will honour The Rolling Stones' Brian Jones, in August it'll be Jimi Hendrix, in September Janis Joplin, in October The Grateful Dead's Ron "Pigpen" McKernan, in November Badfinger's Pete Ham and to top off 2016, 27 December will pay tribute to Kurt Cobain.
