"I’m actually going to meet them in Melbourne."
Edgar Wright has revealed that hopes of directing a music video for King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard are still very much on the cards.
Earlier this year, the acclaimed director wrote on Twitter that he would be "down" to film a King Gizz clip and speaking to The Music today in Sydney in support of his latest film, Baby Driver, Wright says it could still very well happen.
"Those things are easier to say than they are to do because it's then about schedules and stuff," he says.
Wright, who has seen the psych-rock outfit perform twice in the last year (Reading Festival and LA's Roxy Theatre), hopes to meet up with the group during his stay in Australia this week.

"I think, hopefully, I'm actually going to meet them in Melbourne. Because I have never met them before, I didn't meet them when I saw them at the gigs.
"But I'm a big fan and their album last year, Nonagon Infinity, I really, really loved and listened to a lot."
So much did the UK filmmaker dig the 2016 LP, he even ranks it amongst his all-time favourite albums.
"I really love that album, I think it's great."
Oh, and if you're wondering if Wright digs King Gizz's latest record, Murder Of The Universe, never fear; he received a copy this week. And he loves it.
Baby Driver hits cinemas across Australia tomorrow.
