Bringing some X to the ARIAs before his tour kicks off

More Ed Sheeran More Ed Sheeran

World-class British singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran has been confirmed to appear at this year's ARIA Awards, alongside last week's announcement that The Veronicas, Vance Joy, Hermitude, Jarryd James and more would be gracing the stage as performers, too.

Sheeran will not only perform but reportedly also present one of the night's biggest awards. As Australia's highest selling artist in 2015, Sheeran is also nominated in the Best International Artist category along with Hozier, Taylor Swift, Sam Smith and more.

Dan Rosen, ARIA CEO, said, "We are thrilled to welcome Ed Sheeran back to Sydney to join us in celebrating our biggest ARIAs ever. He is one of the world's most successful and in-demand solo artists and has a special relationship with his Australian fans. We cannot wait to have him grace the ARIA stage."

Sheeran said to his Australian fans: "I’ll see you at the ARIAs, I’ve never been to the ARIAs, I’ve wanted to go every single year, so this is quite exciting."
