E^STCentral Coast teen E^ST (pronounced East) has unveiled details of her second EP today — a follow-up to her Old Age debut EP which was met with acclaim and a slew of music industry execs watching her every move. The 17-year-old has announced she'll be releasing The Alley EP on Friday, 18 September and has paired it with the announcement of some tour dates and the video clip for lead track The Alley, too.
With the video clip for the gritty, incredibly catchy song directed by Dan Graetz, he explains it shows the "disintegration of society in a subtle layered way so we took the repetition of Groundhog Day or Run Lola Run and placed it in an increasingly Orwellian world.
"Mel gave a killer, consistent performance in freezing conditions, my crew pulled off miracles on a shoestring, we learned to make our own Molotov cocktails and no-one died - everybody won."
E^ST will be bringing her tunes to the east coast following the release of her EP, first at Sydney's Goodgod Small Club on Friday, 25 September, Melbourne's Shebeen on Saturday, 26 September and Brisbane's Black Bear Lodge on Thursday, 1 October.
