Anthemic progressive metallers Dream Theater have announced their return to Australia with shows in Sydney and Melbourne this October.

Known the world over for the technical proficiency, they are true veterans of the metal world having sold over ten million albums around the world over the course of 30 years.

On the back of their latest self titled record – released last year – the band will be back in Australia for the first time since 2009, staying just two nights and visiting Melbourne’s The Palais Wednesday 29 October and Sydney's Big Top Thursday 30. In typical Dream Theatre fashion, the show is expected to push three hours.

Metropolis Touring pre-sale tickets go on sale 9am Monday 18 August with general public on sale 9am Thursday 21 August.
