"We are terribly sad to postpone, and even more distressed about what is happening the world over."
My Chemical Romance have postponed their upcoming Japan shows, causing concern about the future of Download Festival Australia.
The band were due to headline the festival here in their only Australian shows following the announcement of their reunion last year.
The band released a statement on social media earlier today regarding the cancellation of the Japanese leg of their tour.
"We are terribly sad to postpone, and even more distressed about what is happening the world over," it said.
