Dolly Parton Reveals Guests To Appear On Her 'Rock Star' Album

Dolly Parton questioned getting inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in November last year - she didn't feel like a rock star.

However, she's amending that now and possibly becoming the queen of country and rock and roll music.

In a new appearance on the talk show, The View, the 9 To 5 singer didn't only reveal her mixes to make great cornbread, biscuits, and brownies; she shared some of the names appearing on her upcoming, aptly titled Rock Star album.

"If I’m going to be in the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, I better do something to earn it," she told the panel on The View. "So I’m doing a rock ‘n’ roll album and I’m having a lot of the rock stars that I met that night be on the album with me."

The music superstar has unveiled some big names who will appear on the album: Sir Paul McCartney, P!nk, John Fogerty, Stevie Nicks, and Brandi Carlile.

She also said that P!nk and Brandi Carlile will accompany her on a cover of the Rolling Stones classic, Satisfaction; Nicks, Fogerty, and vocalists Steve Perry (Journey), Steven Tyler (Aerosmith), and Cher are also appearing on unannounced tracks.

Parton is also collaborating with Debbie Harry, Belinda Carlisle, Cyndi Lauper and Gloria Estefan on the theme song for the upcoming film, 80 For Brady. 

On a recent episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, queen of country Dolly Parton admitted that she has a secret song that won't be released until she turns 99 years old. 

Kicking off the talk show, host Kelly Clarkson asked the country star if it was true that she wrote a secret song that nobody else has ever heard, that lives in a time capsule. 

Parton replied: "Yes, and that has drove me crazy!”

Explaining further, she said, "I have written a song that nobody’s going to hear ’til I’m 99 years old and I might be there, I might not be, but it’s when we did Dollywood, we reworked that, and we put it in a time capsule to be, you know, to be opened.

"You have no idea how much that has bothered me! I wanna go dig up that song cause it's a really good song!"

Parton recently shocked fans again when she announced that she had joined the video sharing platform TikTok. 

Her first clip on TikTok is a montage of the greatest Dolly Parton videos with Nine To Five soundtracking the post. She captioned her first TikTok: "I have arrived!" with #heyitsdolly and #dollytok hashtags.
