Doja CatIt seems that Sydneysiders are especially keen to see American rapper Doja Cat, with an extra show added due to extraordinary demand.
Doja Cat announced her highly anticipated Australian and New Zealand tour last week, revealing that she’ll touch down in Auckland, Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Sydney in November and December. Touring in support of her forthcoming album Vie, the shows mark Doja Cat’s first-ever arena headline dates in the region.
Following huge demand in the pre-sale period, a second show has been added at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Tuesday, 2 December.
The rapper and singer’s Ma Vie World Tour launches in New Zealand on Tuesday, 18 November, at Auckland’s Spark Arena.
It continues at Perth’s RAC Arena on Saturday, 22 November, Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on Tuesday, 25 November, Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday, 29 November, and concludes at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on Monday, 1 December, and Tuesday, 2 December.
The pre-sale period closed this morning, and the general sale kicks off at 11 am today via the Live Nation and Doja Cat websites.
Doja Cat’s forthcoming tour of Australia and New Zealand comes following the release of her latest single, Jealous Type, which is making waves on streaming. Produced by Jack Antonoff (Taylor Swift, Lorde) and Y2K (Ariana Grande, Tate McRae), the track appears on Doja Cat’s new album, Vie, set for release on Friday, 26 September.
You can pre-order/pre-save the album here.
The tour continues Doja Cat’s love affair with Australia. In 2023, her hit single, Paint The Town Red, took out the triple j Hottest 100. She also appeared in the countdown at #49 with Agora Hills.
