Celeb disk-jockey DJ AM was found dead last night on the seventh floor of an apartment building at 210 Lafayette Street in New York, according to police.
DJ AM, real name Adam Goldstein, was apparently wearing track pants, no shirt and was holding a crack pipe. Although there are no official reports to suggest so, it's looking like a drug overdose at this stage.
Golstein was involved in a near fatal plane crash with Blink 182's Travis Barker in September, 2008 which left four people dead.
His publicist has made the following statement:
"Adam "DJ AM" Goldstein was found deceased this afternoon in his New York City apartment. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear. Out of respect for his family and loved ones, please respect their privacy at this time."
