Death Grips' Big Day Out Sideshows Announced

The controversial duo will play two shows outside of the festival.

More Death Grips Death Grips

They've certainly managed to court a fair amount of controversy over the past year or so, now it is finally time for Death Grips to show us that they can rise above the hype and the headlines and produce great music in a wonderful, furious fashion when they are here for the Big Day Out and, as announced today, two very intimate sideshows.

Their The Money Store LP released earlier this year made sure that people recognised their early success was no fluke and they then follwed that up with another new record, No Love Deep Web, which is an even more exciting release thanks in no small part to the band's unwillingness to cooperate with their record label, Epic, and, as a result, getting expelled from said label rather swiftly.

But the most important thing remains the music; it's dark and violent and dangerous, all the thing we love to hear when talking about new music, and they'll play it live for us on the following non-festival dates.

Saturday 19 January - Oxford Art Factory, Sydney
Tuesday 22 January - Ding Dong Lounge, Melbourne

Tickets are available from Friday morning.
