Deafheaven frontman George Clarke has formed a new recording company with ex-bandmate Derek Prine.
All Black Recording Company is a record label partnership, which gives underground artists a spotlight.
The company writes:
Music is art and art is something that has different value to different people. Art should not have set price points. We give you the choice to pay what you feel is fair because we believe if given the chance that people will show just as much support for our bands as we do.
All Black Recording Company’s first release is the debut LP from Oakland’s Black Monolith, ‘Passenger’.
“Having known Gary for years, I’m so excited that we have the chance to get his music out to people who deserve to hear it. Generally regarded as a quiet introvert, Black Monolith has allowed him to speak volumes and with this release, absolutely showcases his ever evolving craft,” Clarke said.
