Dead Body Found In Impounded Tesla Belonging To d4vd

A dead body has been found in the boot of an impounded Tesla registered to American singer d4vd.

According to Entertainment Weekly, decomposing human remains were found in the vehicle when police responded to calls of a “foul odour” emitting from the car in a Hollywood tow yard.

Officers responded to the report at approximately 12:40 pm on Monday (8 September) and discovered “possible human remains,” per a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson. The identity of the remains, found in a bag in the car’s bonnet, is currently unknown.

While police didn’t identify the singer as the owner of the car, news outlets such as the Los Angeles Times and ABC 7 News noted that the vehicle is registered to David Anthony Burke, aka d4vd, in Hampstead, Texas.

On Tuesday (9 September), a spokesperson for d4vd told NBC4 News that the singer had been “informed about what’s happened” and has been “fully cooperating with authorities.” D4vd is currently on the road, touring in support of his new album, WITHERED.

“This tour is about more than just the music,” d4vd said of his current run of shows. “It’s about the community we’ve built — the ones that have grown with me and inspired this next chapter.”

D4vd is scheduled to visit Australia this December. He’s set to perform at this year’s Spilt Milk festival and, in addition to his festival appearances, play some in-demand headline shows in Melbourne, Sydney, and Brisbane.

For his headline tour dates, d4vd will be accompanied by local poet Them & I (Brisbane) and Korean Australian artist Hannah Bahng (Melbourne).

WITHERED has been described as a fifteen-track “opus” that highlights d4vd at his best as a performer. “It is an album crackling with love found, lost, created, and destroyed through every chorus and melodic line,” a press release states.
