No hassle, all Hoff
He's back, baby! Veteran Supanova Supastar David "The Hoff" Hasselhoff - who appeared at four of the event's six annual conventions last year - has been confirmed as the lead guest for Brisbane and Adelaide's 2014 iterations this November.
The Hoff should, of course, be no stranger to punters' ears and eyes, having been a regular fixture on our TV screens for the better part of the past 30 years in shows such as Knight Rider, Baywatch and The Celebrity Apprentice Australia, even well after his initial career had kicked the bucket and he was reborn as an (at least partially) ironic pop culture god.
With Sydney and Perth's conventions - and their guest lists - in the bag and ready to be unleashed on the public over the next two weekends (Sydney this, Perth next), the nation's premier pop culture expo is already turning its attention to its final two instalments for the year.
Joining The Hoff will be True Blood star Kristin Bauer van Straten, better known to fans of the show as Fangtasia nightclub co-owner Pam; US actress Janina Gavankar, who has enjoyed roles on both True Blood and The Vampire Diaries, as well as popping up as a short-lived love interest for Stephen Amell's Oliver Queen in Arrow; Doctor Who's beloved (and late) crime-fighting Silurian detective Madame Vastra - or rather, her human counterpart, Neve McIntosh; James Kyson, of Heroes (in which he played Ando), Hawaii Five-O and Justified fame; and a couple of Merlin alumni in the form of Eoin Macken (Sir Gwaine) and Alexander Vlahos (Mordred).

Gavankar, Macken and Vlahos are all rescheduled appearances after having to postpone last year. More announcements will follow in the ensuing weeks and months as we march onward towards Supanova November.
