The eagerly awaited musical will no longer be a part of Vivid Sydney 2015

Sydney's Vivid Festival will no longer host Here Lies Love, the musical adapted from a 2010 concept album by Talking Heads icon David Byrne and veteran DJ/producer Fatboy Slim, after news broke that the production had been postponed indefinitely.

As Fairfax reports, the show's producers issued a statement today explaining that its run had been called off for the moment "due to unforeseen acoustical engineering issues".

New dates are expected to be organised for, and announced, later in the year, but the postponement means the show will miss being a part of this year's Vivid Sydney in May. It has previously been staged in New York, where it enjoyed a sell-out 2013 run, and London, where it began at the National Theatre in October.

Keep your eyes peeled for the new dates, whenever they might drop. We'll keep you posted.
