It seems former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo is enjoying a stark change of pace, with the skinsman trading in his thrash metal acumen to help pen music for a new Disney cartoon.

It seems former Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo is enjoying a stark change of pace, with the skinsman trading in his thrash metal acumen to help pen music for a new Disney cartoon.

Metal has received some small, yet key, prominence at Disney recently – namely a snippet of Mastodon’s ‘Island’ featuring in 2013 Pixar film, ‘Monsters University’.

Now, according to a tweet from Lombardo (see below), the musician is working on music for a new Disney cartoon pilot.

Lombardo expanded on the previous Slayer situation at an Irish drum clinic earlier in 2014.
