Forget Harry Potter, Radcliffe has a new role to be defined by.
Daniel Radcliffe's career is about to change forever, being confirmed to star in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.
The film follows the career of the five-time Grammy-winning artist from his early hits such as Eat It and Like A Surgeon to his depraved lifestyle and celebrity love affairs.
The biopic will air exclusively on streaming service Roku and was written by Yankovic and Eric Appel.
It was produced by Adam McKay and Will Ferrell's company, Funny Or Die, and is set to begin production in early February.
In a statement, Yankovic stated: "When my last movie UHF came out in 1989, I made a solemn vow to my fans that I would release a major motion picture every 33 years, like clockwork.
"And I am absolutely thrilled that Daniel Radcliffe will be portraying me in the film. I have no doubt whatsoever that this is the role future generations will remember him for.”

On being approached by Yankovic, Appel said: "When Weird Al first sat me down against my will and told me his life story, I didn’t believe any of it, but I knew that we had to make a movie about it.”
