More Dan Sultan More Dan Sultan

In the lead-up to last night's re-branding announcement, the Mushroom Group's Executive Chairman Michael Gudinski announced that they'd signed Dan Sultan to the group's artist roster.

Gudinski made the reveal on Channel Ten's The Project before making the full announcement of the group's 2013 plans at a Melbourne industry function.

A representative from Mushroom confirmed to theMusic.com.au today that he's joined the Liberation label. Sultan has been signed to Mushroom Music Publishing since 2008.

Earlier this year Sultan split with co-songwriter and collaborator Scott Wilson – who is now playing with Stompy & The Heat – and has started recording demos for his next release.
