The final three vocalists on this year’s season of The Masked Singer Australia were unmasked last night, with Dami Im revealed to be the powerful voice beneath the Snow Fox costume.

Im took home the win with her final song on the show, Dangerous Woman by Ariana Grande. Judge Chrissie Swan, who’s had a good run of guessing the singers correctly this season, said it was Im, while her fellow judges Mel B, Abbie Chatfield and Dave Hughes threw out names including Samantha Jade, Jessie J, and Kelly Rowland, respectively.

“It feels amazing to be out [from under the mask],” Im said following her win. “I actually won The X Factor here, on this same stage, exactly ten years ago. And now I’m back winning this!”

Looking to Mel B, she added, “I came to Australia when I was nine years old. I didn’t speak a word of English. But I learnt to speak by listening to the Spice Girls songs.”

As well as Im, the other singers in the top three – Bouncer and Grim Reaper – were unmasked and revealed to be Conrad Sewell and Darren Hayes.

“It was an emotional rollercoaster backstage,” Sewell told the judges and studio audience. “Everyone was like, you’re really going to go on a journey. They were right! I had a great time.”

After telling the judges that he couldn’t wait to explain to his son, Memphis, that he was a contestant on The Masked Singer, he shared that his partner is pregnant with another baby. “It’s a little girl next, which is very lovely,” he said.

Meanwhile, on Instagram, Hayes, acknowledging how his music and presence influenced Chatfield in her journey to come out as bisexual, wrote, “Thanks for the most extraordinary adventure The Masked Singer Australia - and special hugs to Abbie Chatfield for the love and reminding me of the power of lyrics and music. Amazing experience!!”

Last week, Courtney Act was unmasked on The Masked Singer Australia. Her unmasking followed the reveals of Amy Sheppard as Orca, La Toya Jackson as Burger Gal, Pete Murray, Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby, The Block’s Shaynna Blaze, Summer Warne (Shane Warne’s daughter), Channel Ten newsreader Sandra Sully, and actor Brian Austin Green.
