'Dirt Buzz' hits physical and digital stores on 16 September
Stalwart Melbourne rockers Dallas Frasca have come out of the woodwork to announce the September release of their new EP Dirt Buzz, which lands in our eager laps alongside a globe-trotting tour that will also see the band commemorate 10 years of performing together.
Impressively, the band have secured the services of veteran rockers Ugly Kid Joe — they of Everything About You fame — as their support act for their European sojourn (but not the local leg, it would seem — sorry, friends).
Although they've been a little quiet in the first half of 2016 (understandably, given how full-on 2015 was), Dallas Frasca have still been hard at work away from the spotlight, putting together their new EP and freshly announcing the launch of their own independent record label, Spank Betty Records — through which they'll be releasing Dirt Buzz next month.
"We really like doing things ourselves; we're viciously independent spirits, so having our own label makes sense," frontwoman and namesake Dallas Frasca said in a statement.

The band have preceded the arrival of the EP with new single Wasting Time, which Frasca describes as being a perfect encapsulation of "the spirit and heart of the band on stage".
"The song, for me, is facing shit I probably wouldn't talk to anyone about, which is weird, because now I'm sharing with people I've never met before," she mused. "I suppose that's what music is for me; making sense of my internal battles. I need music in my life for that balance."
Fortunately, she and her bandmates, Jeff Curran (guitar) and Chris Windley (drums), will have plenty of opportunities to get their fix when they hit the road for the extensive Australian leg of their Dirt Buzz world tour. They get started at Maroochydore's Sol Bar, on the Sunshine Coast, on Friday 7 October, and head through Brisbane, Adelaide, Seymour, Warrnambool, Wonthaggi, Belgrave, Rye, Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, Hobart and Mornington, where they play the tour's final local show at The Grand on 30 December.
Wrap your ears around Wasting Time below, and see theGuide for more information about the tour.
Dirt Buzz will be released on Friday 16 September via Spank Betty Records.
