Dallas FrascaThe old adage "the show must go on" definitely rings true for Dallas Frasca, the big-voiced lead singer of her three-piece band, who took a two-metre fall at the Big Pineapple Music Festival this Saturday on the Sunshine Coast.
Frasca was attempting a crowd-surf, as you do, when she took a fall straight into the dirt, coming out with a black eye and a swollen cheekbone. She continued to play their set like a champion, but upon returning to Melbourne, Frasca had some x-rays done which confirmed that the headaches and bruises she was experiencing were actually testament to the fact that she'd cracked her skull.
Frasca says, "Once I hit the ground and realised I was still alive I think the feeling of being disappointed that we couldn't finish our set gave me a shot of adrenaline and I got back up and kept singing… To find out I had cracked my skull made us all laugh."
Regardless of the incident, Dallas Frasca are ploughing on their Love Army tour around the country, with dates in Adelaide, Alice Springs, Melbourne and Hobart yet to go in the coming weeks.
