It's going to be a big one
With a slew of brewers preparing their finest for the 2017 Ballarat Beer Festival, a handful more acts have been confirmed for the event, including Dallas Crane and Davey Lane’s Thee Gravy Train Four.
More than 200 variations of craft beer will descend on Ballarat’s City Oval on January 21, with the aforementioned local legends joining previously announce musical guests The Rifle Birds, Michael Meeking & The Lost Souls and The Houndlings.
Lane returns to the festival after headlining in You Am I earlier this year, unleashing garage pop with his new act.
“It was the first time we'd played anything of its kind and was a true testament to all that a thriving, culturally rich town like Ballarat has to offer,” Lane said.

Melbourne blues-rock 10-piece The Blues Brothers ‘Case Full of Beers’ Tour and local duo This Way North have also been confirmed.
The 2017 edition has been branded the Summer Spectacular, with family-oriented activities and passes on offer, including human size foosball – which would be amazing to watch after everyone’s a few samples in.
